Designed for ease of use, Penn's exclusive Fathom-Master drag system allows for one hand operation when lowering or stopping the downrigger weight. The drag system lets cable play out if the weight snags on the bottom, and for added safety, the crank handle does not turn while the weight descends. Equipped with a long handle lever, 1-to-1 ratio cranking is easy and the Fathom-Master's oversized spool speeds the return of the weight. The gear-driven cable footage counter displays the depth of the weight in large, easy-to-read numerals. The Fathom-Master Downrigger comes pre-installed with Penn's easy-to-rig Tru-Trac cable hardware that allows you to simply remove and re-install the downrigger without crimping tools.
